About The Cova Project (TFN Alumni, 2022)

The Cova Project provides menstrual cups and menstrual health education to girls and women in developing communities in Liberia, Ghana, Uganda and Malawi. They do this to combat the global issue of “period poverty”. Period Poverty refers to the unaffordability and lack of access to basic sanitary products experienced by millions of women.

With the funds raised at the TFN event in 2022, The Cova Project were able to provide more than 800 girls in Uganda a menstrual cup, giving them the opportunity to attend school full time. The funding was incredibly important as it helped scale up their efforts in Uganda and allowed us to continue proving our concept to the Ugandan government.
