Western Melbourne, Victoria

Ready Set has partnered with Big Group Hug to deliver FutureFIT; a collaborative program that supports young jobseekers in Melbourne’s west with work-ready clothing and job-seeking support.

Ready Set supports jobseekers experiencing disadvantage by removing practical and emotional barriers to employment through work-appropriate clothing and job-seeking coaching, delivered via onsite, virtual, mobile and place-based services across Greater Melbourne, Tasmania and NSW.

In partnership with Big Group Hug, which provides essential material aid to disadvantaged children and families in Melbourne’s north and west, Ready Set delivers the FutureFIT program for young people in Western Melbourne facing hardship, combining practical resources with tailored support to build confidence, dignity and hope on the path to employment.

What they’re pitching for…

Ready Set and Big Group Hug are seeking support to scale the FutureFIT program so it can reach more young jobseekers in Western Melbourne facing entrenched barriers to employment. The funding will enable stronger outreach through partnerships with schools and local employment, welfare and community service providers that refer young people into the program, alongside delivery from the Big Group Hug site in Tarneit and additional place-based services across the west. It will also support coordinated volunteer engagement, local business involvement and evaluation so the program can grow sustainably and meet demand in the communities it serves.
