What an amazing evening! Thanks to an exceptionally generous audience and match-funding support from PwC, Morgans and SilverChef, TFN Brisbane facilitated over $110,000 for three groundbreaking QLD programs. More than 120 people came together at PwC to support the work of Heartfelt Homes, CORES Australia and Orange Sky Laundry.

  1. Project #1: Heartfelt Homes

    Heartfelt Homes provides subsidised accommodation for regional, rural and remote families of patients in hospitals far from home. By keeping families connected during these difficult times, it helps everyone involved, including the patient. Heartfelt Homes is expanding its services into Queensland and seeks funding to secure critical accommodation that will meet the demand for families in need.

  2. Project #2: CORES Australia

    CORES provides community suicide prevention through training, education and early intervention. CORES also links people at risk with crucial services, provides bereavement support and runs training programs in schools and workplaces. The team are seeking funds to start a new program in Bowen and Airlie Beach that will involve training 100 people plus two local facilitators to ensure the program’s long-term success. www.cores.org.au

  3. Project #3: Orange Sky Laundry

    Orange Sky Laundry is Australia’s first mobile laundry for the homeless, using nine vans custom-fitted with washing machines and dryers to offer a free service for those in need. As the service has evolved, the team have also been able to connect their homeless friends with employment opportunities, including positions in their warehouse and via small commercial laundry contracts. Orange Sky Laundry seeks funds to expand this initiative and connect a further 20 homeless people to employment opportunities.  www.orangeskylaundry.com.au
