On 25 November, four innovative social entrepreneurs pitched in Perth, inspiring the audience to pledge more than $50,000 in support of their vital work in the community. Thank you to everyone who pitched, pledged and participated, and to PwC and Brookfield who helped make the evening possible.

  1. Project #1: The Humanitarian Group

    The Humanitarian Group supports asylum seekers and refugees, promoting social equality and providing access to legal services. The group is raising funds to connect refugees and asylum seekers with translators, assisting them to navigate the complex legal process of applying for asylum. www.thehumanitariangroup.org.au

  2. Project #2: Befriend

    Befriend is a social enterprise with a vision for an inclusive, connected world. They run programs that re-engage local people at risk of social isolation with the community, and ultimately influence broader cultural connection. They are seeking funds to develop a Befriend Starter Kit and establish mentoring services. www.befriend.org.au

  3. Project #3: On My Feet

    On My Feet uses running to stimulate self worth, a sense of purpose and self sufficiency amongst people affected by homelessness. Through this program they also provide pathways to education and employment for the homeless community and hope to double their reach in Perth with support from TFN. www.onmyfeet.org.au

  4. Project #4: Growing Change

    Growing Change connects people through growing, making and selling premium organic food at urban social farms. The social enterprise provides horticultural therapy, training and employment opportunities for anyone experiencing social isolation and mental health issues. www.growingchange.net.au
