  1. Project #1: STREAT

STREAT is a Melbourne-based social enterprise that works with marginalised young people aged 15-25 years and provides them with a healthy self, job and home. STREAT run a portfolio of eight foodservice businesses, including cafes, an artisan bakery, a catering company, and a coffee roastery. So far the organisation of over 600 young people have helped serve nearly 2 million customers, all whilst gaining over 52,000 hours of support and training. In July they plan to open a new cafe at RMIT University in Melbourne, that will allow STREAT to further increase the number of young people they can provide support and workplace training to, with the aim in the coming three years to be training 365 young people each year. streat.com.au

  2. Project #2: Global Sisters

Global Sisters is partnering with a network of homeless housing organisations who have successfully supported women into secure accommodation and are now looking for income and purpose in their lives. These organisations are excellent at finding secure accommodation, and sometimes mainstream employment for their clients, however, they do not have the internal skills or resources to support women who need alternatives to mainstream employment, particularly business. Global Sisters will build on the foundational work of theses organisations and support women to establish or grow businesses. These businesses will be tailored by the women to fit their circumstances and may provide purpose and a little extra cash, or be a significant, scalable business; receiving end to end business development expertise and support. globalsisters.org

  3. Project #3: Wesley Mission

Wesley Mission will support 50 care leavers each year to build job skills and access to employment, with a program model that utilises a number of components to provide holistic support for young people experiencing trauma, separation and rejection which contribute to ongoing social, emotional and psychological disturbances. With the 'Take Charge of Your Life' program, Wesley Mission is seeking help to fund a number of activities to create pathways to employment and mitigate high levels of disadvantage. These activities cover an individual vocational assessment, development of an Employment Pathway Plan, career guidance, links to brokered employment outcomes, and placement support including work experience/ internships, skill development training and career goals/skills analysis training. wesleymission.org.au
