The Funding Network helping smaller charities achieve their goals

There are over 55,000 registered charities in Australia – with 10 added daily – competing for limited funding. The Funding Network has launched a crowdfunding campaign to assist smaller charities that struggle to receive financial backing to achieve their goals.

CEO Julie McDonald told Sky News live crowdfunding is successful because "it is about human connection... we've gone back to basics in a digital world."

An 'Early Years' TFN Live event dedicated to funding innovative programs helping pre-school aged children and their families enlists a panel of children to get involved in the process for selecting charities to assist.

Young philanthropist and panelist Lily Parsons said, "We learned about the social problems the charities were addressing and their solutions, we graded them based on four criteria and chose the top three from there."
